So, Uncle Ron (Scott's Uncle) is the newest member of the Peterson Fly-fishing Hall of Fame. He was inducted on Saturday July 22nd during the afternoon drake hatch on Donkey Reservoir in Wayne County, Utah. After some amazing rain and some sore legs he was heard saying that it was well worth the rocky road to the water for some amazing brook trout.
Papa (Scott's Dad) was over heard on the way back to town saying, "That was probably my favorite trip on a float tube ever!"
You will notice in the pictures above how clear the water is. The morning hatch was shortened by an hour and a half thunderstorm that soaked Scott, Dar, and Ron. We are pretty lucky to live with minutes of places like this. Fly-fishing and awesome scenery are at hand. Thanks for the great times Dad and Ron.

What an awesome day!! The drive to and from this lake is really tough but WELL worth it. Ron had two firsts: first time on a float tube and first time catching fish on a dry fly. Thanks a million to Scotty for subjecting his Explorer to the rigors of that road. Thanks a double million to Andrea for putting us up Friday night and feeding us -- Thanks to Allie-wishes and Laney Rose for letting Papa tickle them. Love you all a bunch. Papa!
What beautiful pictures. I love Uncle Ron and Uncle Dar in all their gear. They look so cute! :) Scotty must be a rockn' teacher.
Very nice. Looks like a beautiful place (except for Dad's hat)! We'll have to come down and fish. Scott will need to drive - I don't think the Camry is going to Donkey Reservoir anytime soon.
Wow...now the secret is out Scott. Your going to have to show all of us where this place is.
Sounds like a good day. And what an appropriate name for that place.
