Halloween

Here are our Halloween pictures. Allie and Scott were getting Eddie to pant like a dog.

Elena was a princess that was missing her sparkly cape and her tiara, but she wasn't too worried. We could find the tiara but it didn't stay put as well as she would have liked and I know I saw the cape a week or so ago...
And another princess. At the beginning of the day Elena was going to be Strawberry Shortcake and Allie was going to be a ballerina. Somehow when it comes down to it, the princess always comes out. I actually don't mind that at all since it is a very simple request to fill.

A Good Morning

One of the best things about living near great trout streams is that occasionally you can hook one of these:

It measured 21 inches long and 11 inches around.

Elena's 5th Birthday

Elena was so excited to turn 5. Her birthday was on a Sunday so she convinced us to open presents before we went to church. We ended up opening presents in our room because we were listening to our Bishop on the radio. He had spoken at Friday Forum at Snow College and it was played on Sunday morning.

Here she is holding her presents from Nanna and Papa.
Elena wanted a Barbie cake for her birthday.

The cake was frosted with whipped topping and I didn't want it to get too warm before we ate it so it had to go in the fridge while we made dinner. Barbie looks really strong in this picture.

Elena also had a play date party with a couple of her friends and we made cupcakes. Eddie really liked them, particularly the frosting. He LOVES anything chocolate.

Vernal

A few weeks ago we went to Vernal to visit Grandma & Grandpa Knutti. It was the first family vacation we have had in a long time, even if it was just a weekend trip. The kids were so excited to stay in a hotel. We stayed at a Marriott that had only been open a week. Here are some pictures of the hotel room.

I wasn't sure how Eddie would do at the hotel, but even he knows how to kick back and relax.

We went to the new Natural History Museum a.k.a. the dinosaur museum. We had a lot of fun.

We have a temple board in our house where we put pictures of temples we have seen because we don't live close enough to a temple for our kids to see one very often.

Eddie was named after Grandpa Knutti so we needed a picture with both of them in it.

We also got to see Megan, Justin and Andrew (Scott's sister's family) which was fun. We went swimming together at the pool and visited together at the Knutti's home. It was so nice to get away that we have already started planning a family vacation for next summer.

Allie's Baptism

Allie's baptism went really well. We appreciate everyone who has supported her and who made the trip down to Loa, we know it is far from everyone. We are really pleased with Allie and her decision to be baptized. She is a sweet girl and an important part of our family.

Congratulations Allie!

Catching Up...Finally!

So, we finally are catching up with our blog.

We'll try to summarize our summer...

June found us in Bountiful A LOT actually, we spent every weekend that month up for a family reunion, two weddings, and a saying good-bye to Scott's parents as they departed for the Argentina, Neuquen Mission.

We also celebrated Eddie's 1st birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary.

In July we went camping with the kids for the first time. We haven't had a tent we could fit in, but Scott's parents were nice enough to let us use their tent while they are gone (so Scott's siblings if you are looking for it, we have it, let us know if you need it). The kids all loved it. So we went again the next week when Emily and Isaac came to visit us. To see pictures from that visit our Therapy on the Fly blog.
August brought Allie's birthday, a family reunion on the Harrison side and another wedding. It has been fun, but I am excited for school to start next week to try and get into a schedule.

Office Pictures

We finally have some pictures of the office to show you. Scott has enjoyed building a bookcase and a side table that looks like a fly fishing reel. We haven't had very much business yet, but we are hoping for more this summer. Check out this blog entry about Therapy on the Fly at SpiritoftheSportsman.com. Scott has also changed positions at Aspen Ranch. He is now the floater therapist instead of the equine therapist. We were excited about the change because Scott was ready for something a little different. The floater therapist fills in for the other therapists when they have paid time off. Life is always changing somehow. Scott's parents came down to visit and we had a lot of fun. You can see pictures from Scott and his dad fishing on our Therapy on the Fly blog. Thanks for coming!

Long time no blogging

So we had a great Christmas, even though there was a lot of sickness. Elena went to the doctor Christmas eve, Christmas day and the day after Christmas with the croup. It was bad enough the doctor said he couldn't look me in the eye and tell me she would be okay through the night (Christmas night) and was worried we would end up needing to go to the hospital in Richfield in a storm. Fortunately she was ok and we didn't have to do that, but it scared me to hear him say it. Eddie got sick just after Elena got better, but it didn't last long. Scott took the week after Christmas off and was sick the entire time. So it wasn't quite the relaxing Christmas break I was hoping for, but it was still good.

We have been busy starting a business. Scott is combining his two great loves, helping people and fly fishing in a fly fishing therapy business. There is a link to the blog at the top of this page. We will have a web page up soon. We are working on converting half of our garage into an office. Scott has done a few private practice sessions at home and the rest of us have to hide out in the back of the house while he does them. We will be glad he can have an office for this very soon.

Eddie is getting big. He loves to get around in his walker. He will play with the girls in the hallway. They chase him, then he chases them. It is fun to watch. Allie has enjoyed making friends with some new girls in her class. Elena enjoys helping me. One day she asked who is going to help me when she turns five and goes to school. She doesn't seem to think I will be able to manage without her.
